There isn't much info for the X1400. I may be mistaken though. As far as I know, the X1400 is comparable to the Nvidia 7400. I think that the 6800 might be a little better than the X1400 but I probably may be mistaken. I do know that the 6800 has better specs that the 7400 (fill rate, etc), so that's my only foundation for my comment.
They aren't the same generation anyway so it's hard to make a comparison with so little information available on the X1400.

The Go6800 will murder the X1400 - it performs better than an X600, but not as good as an X700. The Go6800 is about 35% faster than an X700.

6800 will definitely murder X1400, the X1600 on the other hand, not for sure but that would be a good fight, it is a shame how much nvidia owns ati BOOOOO! hahaha

The 6800 Go is faster than the X1600 at playing games at lower resolutions. However, the X1600 is slightly faster than the 6800 Go at playing games on higher resolutions.

Remember that the X1600 is not designed to compete with the Go6800 - it is a replacement for the Radeon X700, which is competiton for Nvidia's mid-end cards (X700 competes with the Go6600, X1600 will compete with upcoming Go7600). Right now, the X1600 has no equal in the thin-and-light segment.

I think someone posted that the x1400 gets around 2300 in 3dmark05. So even the Go6600 is slightly better than the x1400.

x1400 gets around 1600. similar to an x600 with 256mb dedicated.

Is ATI going to compete with Nvidia this time round in the high end notebooks? I remember when there was talk of the X800 in notebooks but that didnt really happen.
