1) What size notebook would you prefer?
anywhere from 13-15.4.........i don't mind having widescreen but i prefer fullscreen
2) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
basically, i will hardly be playing any games at all........it will basically be used for watching tons of anime, and hitting the internet
3) Will you be taking the notebook with you to
different places or leaving it on your desk?
not a lot......but sometime
4) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
not really....
5) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

2 - 3 hrs.. I will be plugged in most of the

cdrw would be fine but i dont mind a dvdrw
in other words, i basically need a laptop that doesnt need the best graphics, but can run video (anime) beautifully and has a super nice screen.......but also, is a good laptop.....

If you can stretch your budget just a little more, the Asus V6Va would be awesome for you.

I would definitely look at the Fujitsu E8000 series. Standard screen, avaliable in glossy. :)
Also, the ThinkPad T43 would be my choice for a non-glossy screen.

For what you are doing you don't need to spend your whole budget. I'd say the Asus Z63 which I can't believe AuroraS didn't mention.
