Can't find lumen ratings?
Is there any listing anywhere of most models of laptops/notebooks, via the amount of lumens, such as, say, 180 lumens, 200 lumens etc.?

You mean for screen?
Most don't publicize it but most are 200nits, with a few at 300nits, those being Fujitsu, LG, Samsung and some ASUS models.

Thanks, uh, actually, what I'd like is a factual listing of all laptop brands/models containing as low as 110-150 nits and only one CCFL.

Also, since I never had the luxury of owning nor even used a notebook in my life, can you please advise:
Do notebooks (even older Thinkpad models) require batteries to work, or can they work as well by plugging in? And is the power cord the same as with desktops? I.E. just a regular type of plug? Or other?
