Yeah, agreed with RedFrog. X1600 should show anywhere from 20-30% performance gain over the current X700.
Not sure about the X1300/X1400, haven't seen any benchmarks, although I remember reading that the X1400 benched about 2000 in 3DMark05, which places it under the X700 a notch [X700 gets about 2500+ for the 128MB version].

I don't like to think about performance leaps in terms of %. The rule of thumb in general is that the next generation card is almost as good as the level up in the previous generation. This isn't always true, but it's worked very well for the past few generations, and I doubt that'll change.
I know you're all using FPS counts and 3DMark, but when you try and explain it to somebody who cares about graphics but doesn't know the models and relative performance, it's a heck of a lot easier just to say that an card X is like card Y or just a tad bit slower than card Y.
Which is why I suggest this more elegant form of comparison rather than trying to create too many levels of performance.
X1300 ~ X600 ~ 6400
X1400 ~ X700 ~ 6600
X1600 ~ X800 ~ 6800
Not perfect, not exact, but good enough.

I'll tell you...it is getting very confusing; about the only thing that you can readily understand is that an IGP is the lowest of cards, after that it's tough for a novice. Thanks.

Exactly. Which is why I propose that simple relation which directly maps a previous generation card to a current generation one.

If you also want to put it in terms of the latest games:
X1300/X600/Go6400:
Typical Game: SVGA resolution (800x600) (maybe XGA, depends on game), medium settings (maybe less on the shading and shadows), no AA/AF

X1400/X700/Go6600

Game: XGA and sometimes higher resolutions, medium-high or high settings, still no AA/AF
X1600/Go7600/Go6800
Game: SXGA resolution, medium-high or high settings, no AA/AF
X1800 (upcoming)/Go7800/GT/X
Game: SXGA+ - UXGA resolution, high settings, AA/AF possible.
Of course, that is *GENERALLY* speaking. Doesn't apply for all games. For example, HL2/CS:S will be able to be run at higher settings, given that it is an easy game to handle. FEAR is another extreme as well, and you would probably have to play at lower settings/resolution for that.
