Question:
Any ideas for decent battery life?
Okay just some background info. My sister wanted me to choose a laptop for her to buy. The thing is the only real "requirement" that she wanted at least 5 hours of battery life. Of course I'd take her words lightly, 3-4 solid hours should be good. Besides that she really just needs a wordprocessing and internet laptop. She'll be using the laptop to study for her pedatrician board review.

Re: Any ideas for decent battery life?
You might be able to pick up a xpsm140 from dell outlet with a 9 cell battery...It does stick out about a half an inch from the back of the computer but it gets a solid 6 hours. You can probably find one for your sister cheap, it should do everything you need less dedicated graphics...It comes with the pentium 7x0 series, so no dual core, but it doesn't sound like she needs it anyway. You will def. get a big harddrive and even a dvd burner for under 900...maybe even less if you look hard enough.
