home edition upgrade to Vista?
In talking to HP sales today, he mentioned that I should get at least media center if I wanted to upgrade to vista. Anyone heard this also?

that is ridiculous. you xp is software. the only requirements to be able to upgrade to vista are specific hardware components.

I think he's saying the only Vista worth getting is Media Center...

There is no reason to get Media Center just so you can upgrade to Vista. Vista will be available for any xp system. That and it is easier to just do a clean install. Clears out all dependencies.
