Help me in choosing a notebook, please!!
I have been looking through notebooks for a long time.... like for almost a year.. but I keep waiting to see if new good ones are coming out...anyway...these are my answers to the general questions:
1) What is your budget?
below 2500 USD
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
I would prefer something in 14' or 15'..
3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
Photoshop, music editing.. browsing webs..general office tasks..
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
Mostly on my desk, but I would also like to bring it around..
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
Not so much.. but sometimes I play low-end 3D games..
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
I don't like DELL, currently I am looking at IBM Z61/T60 or HP or ASUS, something that is build with great quality..
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
3 hours is good enough
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
buying online is not a problem for me
9) What country are you buying this in?

10) Would you prefer standard or widescreen?
I don't have a preference for this.. as long as the computer is in good build quality...
11) From the choices below, what screen resolutions would you prefer?
No preference
12) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen?
Hopefully matte... but again..this is not my priority

13) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
Yah.. it needs to look good...professional...
14) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
3 years at least

15) How much hard drive space do you want; 40GB to 120GB?
80 GB is preferred
16) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD-ROM, DVD-CD/RW or DVD-RW drive?
At least a DVD-CD/RW

again..my priority is a laptop that is in good build quality, a intel duo processor.. .. so something that can stand a hit or two.. and...doesn't have over-heating problem... and I dislike laptop with exceptional low sound..so a decent sound quality.....
Brands: HP/IBM(LENOVO)/ASUS or any other brands that meets the above conditions...

well, the problem is that any notebook with excellent build quality (i.e. business quality laptops) will not have good sound b/c they are meant to be business notebooks, not multimedia notebooks. maybe the fujitsu n3530? it is a good build notebook that is more multimedia oriented
