Cant find anything better than dv8000t
Hello people,
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ONE. I have been looking around the net for laptops for quite sometime now. but cant seem to get anything better than the dv8000t with around the same price. now after revisions its come down to 1500$ inclusive of tax and shipping.

I see the dell E1705... almost the same congif.
the configuration with T2500, 256MB NVIDIA 7900 and 2GB RAM. and not bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
now this is better than the dv8000t and having UXGA display instead of WXGA ( i donno which one is better. ) but the price that is come to is $2,151
So basically for 1GB extra ram and better graphics card and more importantly a working keyboard the cost is 651$ more.
Now can anyone advise me what to do? Please.

The Dell website has been having some problems lately, so I would suggest ordering it by phone.

if your goin to use it for college the 17in is massive
i bought the dv8000t and returned it after a dead pixel, warped face plate, and the keyboard started to bug out
but if all those work out and you like the 17in screen thats the the one to get and make you order from costco if you do!!!!!
instead of sticking with hp i ordereded the compal hel80 it has a better build quality more features, and it looks better!

If your order a Dell from Costco I dont think you can customize it to your liking and apply one of the Dell Coupons.

I guess you are out of luck, none of the dell coupons are working. However, new coupons will be available on the 13th.

you can customize it, i buy my first one through them. costco also has a 90 day month 100% satifaction. you have nothing to lose when you buy it through costco. my computer was about the same price when i applied the dell coupons.

Take a look at the SAGER NP5750. If you're willing to spend more for more power, its big brother the NP5760 is even more powerful.
I personally would go for the NP5760 though since the NP5750 doesn't have a great GPU (128MB x1600).
In 15.4" there are a couple of choices: COMPAL HEL80 and ASUS S96J.
