2.0ghz MacBook or 1.83ghz MacbookPRO
hey guys. i really need help making my decision here. i was at the store and they had the blackbook at 1400 and the macbook pro at 1400 (old stock + student discount)
im looking for a notebook that will last me a good 4+ years.
i was originially going to buy the MacBook but after reading around on the net and seeing how much the GMA950 sucks, i feel really discouraged from buying it. after all, i want my nb to be able to support all the new video features that will appear in the next few years.
now with the macbook pro, i get a dedicated graphics card but at the cost of 200mhz on the cpu.
will i feel the difference in cpu speed under normal use? or is the difference completely neglible under normal use?
help me out guys :D

I'd go for the Macbook Pro. I can't believe that you can get a new one for only $1400! I know they don't make the 1.83 GHz Macbook Pro anymore, but it still seems too cheap. You won't see much of a preformance differance between the 1.83 and the 2 GHz. Plus, the Pro comes with a X1600. Just be warned that it will run warm.

I would check with the apple guys about the older macbook pros. Im not 100% but i believe apple made a software/hardware change to one of their notebook lines to address some problems not too long ago.

in case u guys were wondering, the college computer store is offering a student discount on the 1.8ghz. so it already was 1600 and now it's 1400.
