Question:
Dell d620/820 or Sony SZ2 or Toshiba a100-225?
I'm looking for a laptop which I will use primarily for music, photos, web surfing and email. It will stay at home, but will be "on show" most of the time, so aethetics are important. (I hate some of the white laptops around at the moment.) We'll connect the new laptop wirelessly so that it will complement (and upgrade!) our 10 year old desktop - I am looking for a laptop that will last for a long time. Willing to spend up to around £1200.
I have narrowed my choice to 3 -
Dell Latitude d620/820 - like looks and build quality but it has no card reader - IS THIS GOING TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR ME GIVEN MY WISH TO USE IT FOR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY EDITING/UPLOADING? (Excuse the very basic question, but I am very new to ditigal photography)
Sony SZ2 - like the looks but screen is smaller (13 inch) and am concerned re whether the laptop would give up on me after a couple of years
Toshiba a100-225 - can't find many reviews on this (don't know if it's available outside the UK). Seems to meet my needs although battery life is appalling (though not sure how much I would need battery).

I think the Dell will offer the best quality while the Sony will have best features. You can get an external card reader. Perhaps you should consider the FAQ and post back.
