Compare T43 vs. Durabook D13RI
Believe i'm down to these two notebooks (Thinkpad T43 & Durabook D13RI). Does anyone have a preference for one or the other.
Pricing is close with similar configurations.

I'd lean towards the Thinkpad for the keyboard, little trackpoint thingy, and that neat mechanism that parks the hard drive heads when it detects sudden movement. I'm not too familiar with the Durabook though.

both are already EOL models using Sonoma processors (we're on Core Duo now which will soon be replaced by Merom).. perhaps you might want to consider newer models?
between the thinkpad and durabook.. do you really need the semi-rugged features of the durabook?

Thanks to both for replies.
The latest processor really isn't an issue as the system will be strictly work related. I also prefer a standard display as opposed to the new wide screens.
Thought there might be a need for the Durabook' 'semi-rugged' case. Have rethought that. Still like the smaller screen size of Durabook though.
Since posting original have also looked at the HP nc6230. Most likely the IBM is the way to go, but was just looking for other options.
