I'll be heading into the engineering program at my college this fall. The minimum requirements that are needed for the laptop is
2GHz Intel Centrino, Core Duo or AMD Turion
1GB RAM
Microsoft XP
802.11b/g wireless
1) What is your budget?
My budget ranges from up to 1500
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
a and b. I'll be carrying it everywhere with me
a. Ultraportable; 12" screen or less
b. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
d. Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen
3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
graphic designing, possible architectural....
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
it'll be with me everywhere
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
Dont think so, unless someone convinces me to... but not likely.
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
dell, hp, and sony are the ones I'd prefer
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
up to 5 hours
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
no, not really.

13) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
a little, it'd be nice to have one that looks nice, but the power, battery life and durability is what I'm looking for
14) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
by the end of summer, and at least 4-5 years

I've done some search and have found 3 different laptops that fits all of the requirements but I'm wondering about performance for each one of these.

If anyone would be able to give me any feedback on any of these laptops, it'd be immensely appreciated. (A lot of the feedback I've read on these laptops have been nothing but great ones, then again, it's all by the maker...)
