"What notebook should I buy?"

Question:
"What notebook should I buy?"
I've been dreaming about getting a laptop for over 10 years now, the time has finally come. I've researched a bit as well as configuring a few rigs, I've lost count now and I'm having nightmares about web-based configuration utilities, haha. :D
I don't want to be fooled by alienware or any of the other boutique shops when it comes down to customer service. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!
Now to the goodness...

Re: "What notebook should I buy?"
The Dell XPS M1710 would be a good choice I also like the Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV650 which maybe a good choice. But if you would like to keep the cost down a bit more I would go for Dell Inspiron E1705.

Re: "What notebook should I buy?"
Thanks for the responses!
As far as alienware goes, after all the reports i've recently read, I should stay away, far far away...
I'm not a big fan of Dell, I would consider them though. I researched the Qosmio, I was a bit impressed.
Any one else have an opinion?
Thanks!
