Question:
Any notebook that matches these specs
Hello guys. I just had a little problem withhp and I'm returing the dv6000z. I want something that has a little more quality as whenever I recieve one it has something wrong with it. Also customer service is very important to me. Thank you.
1) What is your budget? About 1500-2000
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
Word processing ect. and little gaming. Not a big gamer but want future proof
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
Mostly on my desk. Not too heavy if I wanted to.
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
Not yet but maybe later and want to make sure I can paly most.
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
No hp I just had a horrible time with them and dell looks the same. Even a mac will do.
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
Not a problem
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
No

Screen Specifics
10) Would you prefer standard or widescreen?
Wide they are cool for movies.

The better the screen the better.
12) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen?
I love those glossy screens.
Build Quality and Design
13) Are the notebook's looks and stylishness important to you?
Kind of important to have eye candy.
14) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
ASAP. As much as possible but they dont last so lets say two years. But doesnt mean I dont like quality.
Notebook Components
15) How much hard drive space do you want; 40GB to 120GB?
100GB
16) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD-ROM, DVD-CD/RW or DVD-RW drive?
The one with lightscribe is cool but not a problem. Atleast I can burn anything dont want any shutt doors.

I here alot about ASUS in this site. Never seen one. Where is a reputable merchant to buy from. What about support?

Also check out the COMPAL HEL80 and ASUS S96J/Z96J. HP nc8430 is another comparable system but more expensive.

Yeah I read that. It's unbelievable that they would go that far. Regardless, the ASUS S96J/Z96J and COMPAL HEL80 are worth looks.
