Question:
Help me pick between these three!
Ok guys... I've basically narrowed down my choices for my new laptop to these three machines. In my opinion, all three of them are good looking, well built machines.
I'm mainly getting a new notebook to last me the next 3-4 years of law school. My old T30 w/ it's USB 1.0 just isn't going to cut it:rolleyes:
I'll be using this laptop daily for approx 4-6 hrs a day. Use it in class for notes. Use it after class for research/papers. Use it daily to edit photos, listen to music, webcam, and surf the net. If possible, I'd like to also learn how to video edit with this computer. I have tons of tape laying around but have never tried digital editing. I understand that the A8F does not have a dedicated graphics card but do I really need one if I don't play games?
Given these facts, which one do you think would be best for me?

I wouldn't say you need one, but I'm a firm believer that having a dedicated GPU will be better for the future, especially when Vista comes out. Especially if you are doing video editing, you are gonna want as much RAM as you can use, and an integrated graphics solution will use system memory.
That being said, i think a W7J is about 2x a dv2000t.

Don't go for an HP, the quality of ASUS is far superior.

Looks like everyone is going for the most expensive model: the W7J. Shoulda guessed. ;) j/k.
No votes for the A8F? Why? It's got a bigger screen, more USB ports, and it's cheaper than the W7J. The only downside is the integrated video card.

I say go for the W7J. HP is not ranked among one of the most reliable computers but occasionally you get one that last forever. Even though it cost more, sometimes it's better to spend a little more money for better quality in performance.
