Desktop versus Laptop
Should I get the Dell XPS 400, or the Dell Inspiron E1705 Single Core. I want the one that will last longer and not need an upgrade for a good two to three years. Money isn't really an issue seeing as I can get both for under $1,000 each. So which is better in this case; the desktop or the laptop?

There is no reason your either shouldn't last a couple years. If you need any mobility, the notebook would be the way to go.
