I want a good laptop for gaming that's cheap and will last for awhile. I'll also be using it for LAN parties, so I'll want to show it off.

Gaming, video editing, daily tasks.

I'll move it around when we have LAN parties.

I'll be playing every single Valve game, Battlefield 2, F.E.A.R., any new games that come out...

Any brand with good service.

More then two hours.

The Dell E1705 is your best bet for a 17". You won't find any other notebook that offers the same kind of power for the price. Be sure to use the Dell Coupons to bring the price down.

Third the E1705 - you won't find a notebook with more bang for your buck, especially when you use the Dell Coupons.

Unless you want to sacrifice it for a 15.4in with a x1600 then the S96J is a good deal for around $1300 otherwise the Dell is the only thing that meets your needs.
I find 17' laptops too big if you want to take them somewhere with you, to me 15.4 have the perfect blend of power and mobility.
btw showing off is stupid and non-important.
the 1705 will look weak although it would have a nice 7900GS in there.
