welll, i would think that the hp may be a bit better built b/c it is the business line, while the 3000 n100 is more like the consumer lenovo. i am unsure about the battery life. you may want to search for a review of the nx7400 to check out the battery life. what is your budget?

dell is almost impossible to buy here in Czech republic because they wanted only business customers.
T60 is very expensive
R60 sounds good, but, it have only 15"(N100 hes 15.4-isn´t it better for programming?) and does R60 have dvd-ram?

15" should be fine, depending on the resolution. i don't know if it is compatible with dvd-ram. i would give lenovo in c.r. a call.

Unfortunately R60 is not avaible at the moment:-(. it will be available at the end of July. I thinkthat I will not wait for them.

both the choices you have are good. i don't think you can go wrong either way. one thing to note is the the lenovo will be glossy while the hp is matte. if glare bothers you, you should stick with the hp. the hp may have the edge on battery life. i don't know specifically about the nx7400, but other hp business notebooks seemed to get decent life, especially with the extended battery.

I need batery life between 2 and 3 hours, because it´s the time of my way home by train:-)
But I don´t know if lenovo or HP has special programms for saving batery life. Can you recommended me some one?

what do you mean by special program? nhc (notebook hardware control) is a software that you can use to manage your hardware to increase battery life.
