new and recent games FPS, and World of Warcraft for now but Oblivion when i get the new comp and anything else that tickles my fancy (RPG's, and stratagy games) basically i want to be able to play everything and anything

not really i like the look of alienware (why does everyone here hate them so much) but i am not partial
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
preferably an hour
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?

kinda but not really Uberness is moer important

as long as possible or 3 years of playing any and all recent games would be great if longer that rocks but if i start finding games i cant get i guess i will se you again asking what else is new

i have looked into the M9700 aurora from Alienware as well as the M1710 XPS from dell and well just wondering what else is out there in that performance catagory and which companies have great service plans in canada (like spill resistant)

check out the latest dell Xps line also Alienwire is doing great in gaming department so these two companies will be worth considering for you go and configure according to your requirement

Like Chaz said I would definitely recommend the Sager NP5760. It's got everything the XPS M1710 has, at a lower cost.

Alienware is hated because they offer the same components at extremely exhorbitant prices. you're basically paying for fancier plastic cases and the "I'm a 'cool' compture geek" factor.
Other than that, I hear they are fine computers.

well i have never dealt with sager, but i have dealt with acer and there support and quality is awsome!

Take a quick tour of the Sager forums here at NBR to get a feel for their experiences.
It depends on the reseller that you go through too. If you buy from a good reseller, your experience will improve.
