gaming laptop on somewhat a budget
Hi guys and girls, i need help choosing something for my brother, who wants a laptop that is quite capable in gaming, portability (sp) is not really an issue since he doesnt bring it to class, instead, its for lan party and around the house
My budget is 2000 max for him, although me and my parents wants to lower it as much as possible, roughly at 1500CDN would be great, give or take. What i have in mind is the Acer Aspire 5112WLMI with the following spec for 1425CDN at ncix:

mostly gaming, word, movie, everything a 13yr old wants to do :rolleyes:

mostly on the desk, mobility and portability isnt really an issue here

5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
YES, NFS:MW, BF2, oblivion the elder scroll, AOE3, Warcraft TFT, just to name a few,
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
as long as they are reliable, i dont mind
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
not really an issue here, as long as it's not something sad like 45min
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
i dont really mind, although local is prefered

no preference as well, he doesnt really care, i have a non glossy and it works fine,

not overly important, but will be in consinderation when compare similarily speced laptop

14) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?
buying it before school starts, planning to keep it at least 2 3 years, with gaming capability laptop and current line of cpu, they better last 2 or 3 year haha

bigger than 60gb is good

yes, dvd rom is good enough,
