ATI or NVidia
Hi everyone, I need some help to buy my new notebook.
It's very important to me, find a laptop with more than 2gb of memory capacity.
I would like to know if anyone can help me decide.
I will purchase the LAPTON in Miami Florida. I anybody can told me a store, I would be very thankfull.
These are my details below:
1) What is your budget?
900 to 1350 USD
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
Between 14'' to 15'4''
3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
Developing, movies, graphics, videos.
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
Yes, I'll take my notebook to everywhere.
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
Doom3, Quake III, Half Life 2, Winning Eleven 10.
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Not at all.
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
Doesn't matter.
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
I prefer to see the notebook by myself.

Ur gonna have a very very hard time finding such a machine, especially in a store. High res, more than 2gb of ram??, pretty low budget? That doesnt add up if u ask me.
Most stores that u buy from in person such as compusa, circuitcity, bestbuy will not carry such machines, especially not for that price.

I understand that, the only offer i already see the best for the price it's on bestbuy....
The more than 2gb capacity it's because if anyone knows about a laptop that I don't, but the thing is that kind of memory doesn't bothers me at all.

You won't be playing many games on that, its got an awful graphics card.
Why exactly do you want more than 2GB of RAM, there's hardly any software that will use even close to that amount of RAM.

Why do you want 2gb of RAM?? there is no notebook on the planet that has a high resoltuion screen, a good graphics card - to play the latest games -, 100gb HD with 2Gb of ram and is under $1300 i'm afraid. Your going to have to cut your expectations a bit

I was thinking only to upgrade my laptop then in the future, but ok....
I already decide to Acer Aspire 5672 WLMI because of the ATI X1400 Mobility Radeo Card.
I was wrong thinking that nVidia 7200 Go was better than the ATI, thanks anybody.

acer is a good brand.. but i suggest you go with ASUS. you can find the same specs and price with ASUS brand.. they are better in built quality.

NVIDIA before is pretty ahead of ATI but now ATI is better.:D
