***Which notebook do you recommend?***

Question:
***Which notebook do you recommend?***
In the next few weeks I'll be buying a notebook for college. I'm a junior in business with emphasis in finance. Basically, I'm trying to decide between a small 12" or a 17" notebook. Since I'm entering the business program, maybe some people will have experience with which sizes they use.
Also, I don't play any games other than maybe CS. But I don't mind extra features incase other applications might use them.
Here are the notebooks I'm considering:
12"
Dell xps 1210
IBM x60S
Lenovo N3000 v100
14"
HP dv2000t
17"
HP dv9000t (when it comes out)
What attracts me to the xps 1210 is the small size, the camera that takes video built into the screen so I can record lectures without a camera way out on top, and its the most all around notebook for its size. But b/c its a widescreen 12", it might be too small..?
The IBM x60S I noticed received cNets top ultra portable notebook and seems to me like the best "business" notebook. Due to its outstanding 6+ hours of battery life and the fact that I'm going to school from 9-5pm without any breaks, this notebook could withstand my schedule, not to mention it's a 12" without a widescreen so I'll have more space for excel and other programs. But with its lack of built-in optical drive and media hardware for PowerPoint and the internet I don't know if it will meet all my needs?
Lenovo's N3000 v100 I don't know much about but it seemed like a cross between the x60S and the Dell xps 1210 b/c it has a optical drive and some other features the x60S doesn't have. Any opinions?
The dv2000t by HP seems to be a big hit for everyone but I'm concerned with its size and fitting on a desk with possible space for writing on paper. Another issue is its battery life, I don't know if it would hold up for a full of school. But I do like the overall size and features.
The dv9000t (when it comes out) by HP is on the complete other side from the 12" notebooks I'm looking at. Since I don't know how often college business students actually bring their notebooks to class, this has a nice 17" screen, built-in number pad (remember finance major), and generally speaking it's not too heavy to carry if I need to bring it to school for a project or meetings.
Questions:
Do you use a notebook in class?
What size fits best if yes?
Which notebook would you recommend and why?

Re: ***Which notebook do you recommend?***
#1 - I vote for a 14" notebook for lugging around campus.
#2 - There are better options than the computers you listed.
#3 - Look at whitebooks from Compal and ASUS, they have great solutions from 13.3" on up with dedicated graphics.
#4 - I will plan to graduate this Winter with a degree in accounting. For the few times I needed to do alot of Data entry, I used two options, a external number pad on the road, and a full sized keyboard at home.
#5 - Save money on software when you get your new laptop. I am able to get XPpro, Office Pro, OneNote, Publisher, AV software, and much more free through the open license agreement at my university. Check with your school before you buy a single piece of software.

You do not want 17" if you are traveling regularly with your computer, you'll kill yourself real fast. You should look in the 13"-14" range in Asus if you are looking quality and dedicated cards. You might want to check the new Compal HGL-30 14" notebook too.

In my opinion, 14" is a good size that's in the sweet spot between weight, features and affordability... 15" is also common and a definite contender if you dont mind the slightly extra bulk and weight, for the benefit of screensize and usually cheaper price
