Compal HEL80 vs. e1705
I've posted a few times on this forum, but I remain pretty indecisive. After talking with some people I was pretty sold on the Compal HEL80. However, I just thought I'd throw it out there one last time because it comes down to cost. Here are the computers with their specs:

HEL80-2ghz, xp Home, 15.4 Matte, 1gb/667, 100gb/5400, Dual Layer DVDR, Go7600, 3 Year Warranty, Artic Silver 5, TV Tuner - $1,777 Shipped.
I know that the HEL80 is a quality computer, but I feel as though the E1705 might be too good a price to pass up?

That is a nice set of features on the Dell, definitely superior in almost every way compared with the HEL80.
The Dell's build quality is not as good as the Compal, and provided you purchase the Compal from a recognized reseller your warranty and customer service will be superior on the Compal.
Go with your instinct and be aware of the return policy for both in case you change your mind.
