Re: Build Quality of AcerTravelmate 8204...????
Yes, Acer is one of the cheaper notebook manufacturers. As far as build quality goes, its depends from person to person.
The higher end Acer models like the 8204WLMi should have pretty good build quality.

Re: Build Quality of AcerTravelmate 8204...????
i am using and Apsire 3503 and it has been unblievable, it was the cheapest thing to buy 1 year ago and i am glad i bought it... other than and 1 inch crack in the plastic which acer fix problem free it has worked great! i have hear of some problems wth these computer but i think people are overall satisfied with there computers.
if you dicide not to go with acer, (if you do)
DO NOT BUY TOSHIBA, they have the worst build quality and costomer support out of any manufacture... (long experiance with them) yikes! and i know any one how has had to deal with costomer service 3 times in the same day to because of the origonal problem, and then when the new motherboard was installed i phone again because it still did not work!!!!
* Note, all manufatures produced dudes in cluding Dell and HP. so there will be complains about every single computer maker on the market, know there are alot more complaints about certian companies like toshiba. and some people would say acer too.

Re: Build Quality of AcerTravelmate 8204...????
thanks yuio.... for the advice. you are pretty right about everything almost....
actually the things is that looks and feel of the product do matter a lot for me. and according to that, perhaps i wont feel that great with acer.
i did get a chance to try a toshiba laptop yesterday, and yes, that was very ordinary in looks and feel. quite disappointing actually....
now im left with HP and Dell... and Lenovo perhaps. but lenovos are quite expensive for me.
anyone with some advice... HP, Dell...???
