Re: Business notebook for sales person
I hate to tell you but your not going to find a 13 or 14 inch widescreen laptop with the resolutions you picked out. The best that exists, that i know of, is 1440x990 or wxga+. For a matte screen I know the HP nc6400 comes with such a screen but it seems like its almost impossible to find with that resolution. The dell d620 can be ordered with such a screen but i have heard some very poor reviews about the screen brightness and picture quality.
I have the nc6400 and must say its the best laptop i have ever had. the 1280x800 resolution is fine for my needs and i get over 3 hours of battery life out of the standard 6 cell battery. with the 8 cell travel battery (combined with the 6) i get over 7 hours of away from the outlet time. Plus the screen is the best matte screen i have scene on any model. I hear great things about the lenovo flexview(only available on 15 inch models though) but I can't imagine its head and shoulders above the hp.
in my opinion i would go with the hp is you are looking for a reliable business quality latop. you might be able to call hp and see if you can get the nc6400 with the higher resolution screen though you will probably pay more ordering though them, but not a whole lot more. it doesn't seem like to many places sell the hp business line for a huge price difference. maybe a hundred or two hundred.
just my two scents :-)

Re: Business notebook for sales person
The HP nc6400 is a nice option, I agree. Dell's D620 is also nice, but not as well built.
The ThinkPad Z61t is another choice.
