Hello. My main concern is the size. I know $600 is not a lot to work with but I want something thats not a sempron for celeron. I will get the lowest ram and upgrade myself. Would like 40 to 60 gb harddrive and a good resolution screen. Thank you.

With rebates, my wife just picked up an Acer 15.4" with DVD/RW and Intel Core Duo for $599 from CompUSA.
The deals are there, especially with kids going to school.

Plus, he wants a 14.1 inch screen or less.
