acer vs DELL
i am thinking of getting the acer 5602 intel centrino t2300 but there is a dell inspiron with a t2050 for the same price (999 CAN $) the main difference is that it comes with 2gb ram compared to the acers 1gb ram and 120gb 5400 rpm compared to acers 4200 rpm. I've heard alot about poor build quality of dells though, so I was wondering whether I should go for the lower spec acer or the dell

To be honest, both the Acer and Dell are equally terrible. If you are looking for spectacular build, paint that won't wear off, no plastic-y parts, etc, its really just Asus and Sony (and maybe Fujitsu) that are left.
If I had a choice between an Acer and a Dell, I would get the Dell becasue of better tech support and the media buttons on the front.
