Gaming Laptop Recommendations

Question:
Gaming Laptop Recommendations
Hi good people,
Considering two laptops. I'd appreciate some advice please regarding their graphics capabilities. My max budget is £750 Uk (£1400 US)
Laptop 1 - £750 - http://tinyurl.com/o9b69
- Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2050 1.6 GH
- NVidia GeForce 7300 256MB(512MB HyperMemory)
Laptop 2 - £680 - http://tinyurl.com/rf6hq
- Intel® Pentium® M processor 735 1.7 GHz
- 128Mb ATI Mobility™ Radeon™ X700
From the guide I can see that the X700 is a vastly superior graphics chip but the laptop 2 that has it doesn't have a duo processor. I'm torn between the two. Can anyone please put my mind at rest and recommend one for me?
I'm interested in the machine that will give me the smoothest game performance. If anyone knows a better laptop for the price please let me know. My max budget is £750 Uk (£1400 US)
Cheers in advance everyone,
Gary

There is this http://www.pcnextday.co.uk/products/...Code=3382-6301
Its more powerful both the 2 you have found after a 1 gig ram upgrade to 1.5gb for 60gbp.
However quality is unknown n this laptop so it might be pretty poor but in my opinion you should get it and then send it back if its terrible. Also there is a 4 week delay as its soo popular.
There is a small review on computershopper.com but its not very in depth but the x1600 is twice as fast as the x700 and you get dual core as well.

Well "zoo" regularly get great reviews in well known computer magazines for thier desktops so i dont think its going to be that bad. Otherwise computer shopper wouldnt have given it an award.

Re: Gaming Laptop Recommendations
Those two linked in the first post are both bad buys if you're looking for a gaming laptop. Save an extra £50 and get this its a business class notebook with a free 3 year warranty and a top of the range GPU in the X1600:
http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/HP_St...3E/version.asp
I'd be careful about the Zoostorm as there's a 4 week wait for it and there's literally nothing about it or the company on the internet that I can find. The deal seems too good to be true, so savings must have been made somewhere, whether that was with a cut down GPU, poor build quality or something else I find it hard to believe that they've managed to offer £850+ performance in a £550 package.
I suppose it could be worth a risk and as you could always return it under the distance selling act but even then I still recommend the HP which gets a very good review on this site as it has great features and solid build quality.

Cheers brain stew. I have to be honest I'm very impressed by the nc8430 from laptops direct. The specs speak for the themselves, well worth the extra outlay.
Thanks very much for replying, much appreciated, it's a minefield out there ;-)
