so, theres a $200 difference between the two systems.
I'm just wondering, is the Dell worth the extra $200 for the C2D processor, more HD space, and Nvidia Graphics, (i MIGHT install vista in the future, but who knows). I'm more of the student type, may do occasional gaming, but don't foresee much of it.

Theres no question that the Dell is worth the extra $200... It will be much better in the long run.

the core 2 duo would be more "future proof". if you plan on doing any 3d gaming at all, a dedicated gpu would be highly recommended. of course, if you wanted, you could always get the toshiba now and then install the c2d into later, though you would have to buy the processor which would probably be somewhere in the $300 range.

I would choose dell but would change the card. It might be cheaper... cause the ATI x1400 is better then the 7300go.
It would save some bucks and would be better. By the way with the gma 950 is still not proved that it can run "well" the new windows vista aero glass feature wich will be released in early 2007.
So definitely the dell one, but just change the graphics.
