Re: DV2000t vs. E1505
I really like the dv2000t for everything but gaming. The e1505 is superior there. 3-7hrs a week of gaming is enough to warrant a better video card... but is it worth the extra weight?

Re: DV2000t vs. E1505
the 2000t has the Turion processor, which is inferior to the Core 2 Duo IMO (if you decide to pitch for it). The Go 6150 is inferior to the X1400.
Turions are cheaper though, and might be a better choice

Turions are cheaper though, and might be a better choice 2000t, not 2000z. HP has updated. It'd be the Go 7200, and a Core 2 Duo.

If you're just looking for performance and mobility then go for the dv2000t. If you're looking to game very much then go with the E1505.

2000t, not 2000z. HP has updated. It'd be the Go 7200, and a Core 2 Duo. my mistake...
But I'm wondering how is the 2000t better than the Dell in performance?
Although I must say, the 2000t is incredibly priced.
I hope they carry these in Canada

Re: DV2000t vs. E1505
I would go with the HP dv2000t unless you need the larger screen of the Dell.
A more fair comparison would have pitted the HP dv6000t against the e1505 or the dv2000t against the e1405.

Re: DV2000t vs. E1505
If you plan gamming you need a decent GPU (graphic card).
The 7200 Go is a litle bit better then the radeon x200, wich is the basic graphic card, meaning that you will play most recent games at minimum resolution (if you can).
So soon you might not be able to play any recent games at all.....
If you really want to play games, the dell E1505 is far better.
BY the way... for that budget I would give you some extra choices:
- ACER 5672 WLMI with Ati x1600 - 1079,00 at (better then both cards altough is not coming with core 2 duo yet, probably pretty soon)
- AZUS S96j with Ati x1600 (someone build it for 1070,00) i think you have to go to www.mwave.com to get that price.
These 2 options are the cheapest performance notebooks and are superior to the ones you mentioned, except for the fact they are STILL are not coming with Core 2 Duo.

Re: DV2000t vs. E1505
S96J and the Acer are just out of my price range, definitely would rather consider those (especially the S96J).
Chris, I did my research. I felt the E1505 > DV6000t (due to price), and the E1405 uses only the GMA that I'd really like to avoid for the next 4 years. So my real dilemma is 15 in. vs 14 in.

Although I like the HP better than the Dell, I think if you can get the e1505 with the x1400 without paying a whole lot more, it will give you a better gaming experience than the go 7200.
Gaming aside, though, I think the HP would give you a better overall experience. It would also be more portable and attractive, in my opinion.
Good luck with your decision.
