Cheap Dual-Core Laptop for University

Question:
Cheap Dual-Core Laptop for University
I'm looking for a laptop for University and for some very light gaming.
1) Budget? $900 CAN (taxes 14%)
2) Processor? Dual-Core (preferably AMD Turion 64 X2 becuase of lower price than the Intel Core Duo)
3) Video Card? Integrated Graphics at the level of the ATI Radeon Xpress 200M or nVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 with 128MB (shared)
4) Memory? at least 512 MB DDR2
5) Hard Drive? at least 60MB (4200rpm)
6) Screen? 13.3-14.1" glossy HD widescreen
7) Weight? less than 6lbs
So far, I have come up with the Compaq Presario V3000z (Turion X2, nVIDIA 6150, $1099 CAN) Acer AS5102WLMi (Turion X2, ATI Xpress 1100, $899) and the Gateway MX3410 (Turion X2, nVIDIA 6100, $849). Are there any other laptops that fit into this category that are available in Canada?
So far, the most likely pick would be the Gateway because of its value for the price. However, I'm not too sure about the notebook's reliability. Is Gateway a reasonably reliable notebook vendor (as compared with Compaq, Acer)? How is its tech support?
Thanks for the help

Re: Cheap Dual-Core Laptop for University
I would not go with gateway. Both acer and compaq are good brands.
Both choices are good.
I would honestly prefer a Core 2 Duo notebook right now, cause it´s faster then turion x2.

Re: Cheap Dual-Core Laptop for University
the ones you have listed are pretty much your only choices. gateway is okay, though i did find that the one i looked at office depot had much flex on the lcd and chassis compared to the compaq notebook i saw (not the same models you are looking into, though).
