Well it comes down to my budget $1,500 , Ive come to two notebook's, The Dell E1705 and the Alienware M5550 wich one is the better buy? I like to game, but Id prefer more multitasking power and overall speed.

both will give you similar multitasking power if they both have the core duo or core 2 duo. the 7900gs will definitely outgame the m5550 with the 7600go.

x1400 actually If i were to get the m5500 Id get the x1400, i dont play enough demanding games for a upgraded card...

More games=get the e1705. More speed in processing=m5550.

There both around my budget, E1705 come out pricey with the little features, there both around Core 2 duo 2.0GHZ 100GB 7200RPM 1GB of RAM ( trying to save for for 2) m5550 has 128GB x1400 and i cant afford GS on the Dell so i have to go for 256MB x1400.
Ive noticed that the dell has 553MHz on memory and CPU opposed to 667MHZ on the m5550.

The dell should also have the option for the 667, but I wouldn't make or break the deal on that alone. For multitasking the more important feature will be the processor, so if you can go core 2 duo you will be better off in the future with vista and what not.

if you're not going to get the 7600 for the dell 1705 and don't mind 15.4 inch screen, then the system i've got is pretty good for processing power
