Question:
CavemanMASSACREneedsSMARTthing
ok, i think i know wat i want....Gateway M285-E with x1400 64mb turbocache (read somewhere) to 256, would it help the turbocache to buy the faster 667mhz ram? How well does it play oblivion? I dont intend on buying oblivion, I got it for 360. (well maybe ill buy it when its cheap) The reason i ask cuz i want to play a highly detailed game like oblivion. Neverwinter nights 2 seems to be a real looker and anything like star wars knights of the old republic, its sequel and jade empire and of course the original nwn i want. I plan definatly on using omega drivers. Note: I think even my 128mb geforce mx440 desktop could run on bad performance, but i want to run it well. I ask about oblivion cuz specs seem about the same. Leaked specs of nwn2:
Recommended:
- 3 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
- 1GB System Ram
- ATI Radeon X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series or higher video card
Minimum System Requirements:
- Windows XP
- 512MB System RAM
- 2 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
- 128MB Direct3D compatible video card with DirectX 9.0c compatible driver
- CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
- 4.6GB free hard disk space
- DirectX 9.0c (included)
- DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
- Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework for toolset (included)
- Broadband connection for multiplayer online play
- Keyboard, Mouse
Other than that game I'll probably play guild wars and guild wars factions, and of course, wow.
Specs I probably get on tablet.....buy stock 512ram and upgrade to 2gig
X1600 w/64mbvram uped to 256 wit
turbocache and dual core 1.66 ghz cpu
Maybe i should get the tecra m4? Kinda want the gateway.
Also, how about playing it on the c200 with 6200? Also does c200 have a trackpad or an equilvalient? Dont like stationary heavy objects like desktops and really heavy notebooks but i want a tablet.
Settings i could definately live with in order to max the in game sliders:
all settings off in gpu properties except 2xaa

The x1400 isn't that much of a mainstream card, its lower end.
