Re: Gahh Soo many to choose
Find the HP NC8430 under "Student Deals" on laptopsdirect.co.uk and go with that deal instead of the other one on that site. The difference between a 1.66ghz and 1.83ghz core duo is very minor and I doubt you'd notice the difference. For that small drop in processor speed you get a bigger hard drive, free wireless mouse, and best of all a free 3 year warranty worth well in excess of £100.
You're not going to find a better deal than the HP given its great graphics card and business class build quality (its not made out of cheap plastic and will hold up to a fair beating).
You can also look at uk.zepto.com for some nice models such as the 6214W and 6615WD and 2425, although they'll be at the very top of your budget some of the models have very high resolution screen options which will be very helpful for CAD work.
I'd avoid the Fujistu, its graphics card is only half as powerful as the one in the HP and build quality will be worse and there's also the issue of the a lack of any extended warranty.

Check the review of the 6214 on this site and you should be able to find some other reviews linked on the product pages on Zepto's site. Also check out the Zepto forum here at Notebook Review.

Zepto is new to the UK but so far im very pleased with my 6214w. However zepto's franchise company nusystems is a bit dodgy for customer service from what i have heard though i havnt needed any assistance yet-touch wood. On the other hand there is a zepto representative on this forum ,called mjk-zepto, who has been helping many of the issues out.
In my opinion though if you want a 15.4" notebook i would get the hp its the best deal at the moment but if your wanting a 14" laptop get the 6214w.

Re: Gahh Soo many to choose
The HP nc8430 deal in the UK as mentioned above is a great deal on a wonderful system.
I would also suggest the Zepto Znote 2425W or the 6615W as options.
WUXGA is very rare on a 15.4" and I think may be uncomfortably small (I've seen 17" WUXGA). I only know of it being available on Dell's business lines (Lattitude and Precision) which wouldn't give you the gaming experience you're looking for.

The GPU in that system is capable, but on the lower end of the gaming spectrum. The F3Ja and F3Jc have different graphics cards in them. The F3Ja is the one with the powerful x1600.
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but thought I'd mention it in case you didn't notice the difference.
