desperately need help to choose a laptop!
Hi,
this is my first time on this forum.
I desperatley need help in choosing a laptop.
1. My budget is < $1000
2. My work is basically web design/flash and php/mysql development.
3. I am not an avid gamer (i still play quake 2!!)
4. decent dvd playing experience.
After 2 weeks of research i have finally whitted down the laptop list to the following choices:-

Filling out the FAQ would help us give you better answers.
I think the key question is whether you want a 14" or a 15.4" screen. Have you been to your local big box store and looked at the notebooks there? Which size appeals to you more? Also, consider how important portability is. Will you take it with you or leave it at home? (That's a FAQ question. ;))

I will buy the DV5000t (option 1).
Since my work demands a large screen 15.4", and this is more important than styling!.
I had also checked out the DV8000t/DV6000t, but they were out of my budget.

cool !! this sounds good.. i havent seen the notebook as yet, the config sounds good, just see the screen urself, the viewing angles/ brightness/ resolution/ and glossy/matte thing.
