Yeah you need to raise your budget for what you want to do with it. You will need atleast 1gb of RAM, a mid core duo would be good, or a low core 2. You will also NEED a dedicated graphics card to play those games. A 7400/X1400 would be as low as you should go, but would still run those games very well. A 7600/X1600 would be optimial for good graphics, smooth frames, and future proofing, but will also run you above $1500 on a system. You need to save up a little more before you can choose a notebook to buy.

Easy. If you need a C2D and Go7400/X1400, check out the Dell E1505 and the HP dv6000t. Both can be had well equipped [1gb ram, 80gb hdd, Wifi, blutooth, dvd-rw] for under 1000.
For an X1600/Go7600, $1300 will buy you a Asus S96J or Z96J, a Compal HEL80 or HGL30.

exactly! well almost, the hp won't be available under 1000, the dell is almost available under a 1000 more like 1050 or 1100 in his budget, i wouldn't get the dell if i were you or even me for that matter... lots of serious issues, if you want to know message me... for low budget i'd suggest the hp for 1300 budget i'd suggest the asus z96j if no bluetooth i'd sudgest the s96j as its lower res screen is not a problem for you, get the s96j from gentechpc.com or powernotebooks.com or geared2play.com and buy whichever one suits your config better... the s96j can be had under 1300 in the same price range as the dell hp, since it's barebones costs like 599 and upgrading it won't be so bad...
for 1300 im looking for a t7200 2.0 ghz core 2 duo and such... for your specs you can get it for around 1200...

If you can get the HP dv6000t with a decent configuration, it would be a great choice because of its pleasing design, solid build quality, good keyboard, and performance for the money. It is available with a 128MB Go7400.
