Looks like a scam to me for the person who set the page up to get a lot of money by clickthroughs. Think about it; this person sets up a page with an almost obviously bogus coupon, and then sticks a bunch of google ads on the page that you will be very likely to click on to try and use that coupon.
So this guy makes his money for every clickthrough, and then even if someone were to complain, they would just say "well, we just said to try it, we didn't say it would work".
Huge scam, I think. Personally I would edit the link out of your post, just to keep him from getting any more traffic than he's already getting anyway.
