Bangkok Laptop
looks like i'll be buying in bangkok afteral,
it makes a difference - though i hear Acer are built there, so mabe a better deal? reliable though?
1) budget - around 1000 US
2) size:
b. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
3) tasks - word processing, surfing, downloading and watching films/ listening to music. maybe some gaming.
4) some travel, but often on desk
5) some games probably, but not sure what,,, football.. counterstrike maybe?? would liek to try online, but not full-time!
6) like the look of alienware (sucker?)...don't know enough for bias.
7) battery life ? 3 hours
8) don't think online buying's an option for me in far east ---??
9) i'm british looking to buy in bangkok

10) widescreen if possible
11) screen resolutions ?

e. WSXGA+ - 1680x1050; Wider viewing version of SXGA, good for movie viewing or spreadsheets.
12) glossy/reflective maybe? don't mind that much - better though?
Build Quality and Design
13) looks and stylishness ? yes and no... not really!
14) buying next month, and would like it to last a while - vista?
Notebook Components
15) How much hard drive space do you want; @80?
16) DVD-RW drive would be nice
too much to ask? maybe i don't need it to be quite so good... but if possible, this'd be great.
