The Lenovo 3000 N100 sounds like a very good option and will save you a bit of money. The Dell Latitude D620 is a bit more expensive but has phenominal quality and a durable design.
The Dell should get you the 4-5 hours of battery life you need with the extended battery, but look up the N100's battery life, not too sure on that.

the hp nc6400 is another one. if you want something that is better looking, perhaps the dv2000t is one to consider.
