Help me make the final step...

Question:
Help me make the final step...
I've come down to 2 alternatives in my search for a notebook for studying and occasional gaming:
1) HP dv2000t
Specs
CPU: Intel t2050 1,6 Ghz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce Go 7200 128mb turbocache
Screen: 14.1 wxga 1200x800
RAM: 1gb (2 x 512)
Weight: 2,43 kilograms
Webcam and mic
No bluetooth
No DVI-port
6-cells battery
Price: 8600 NOK (I think it's about 1300-1350 USD)
2) ASUS A6T(z92t)
Specs
CPU: AMD tl-52
GPU Geforce Go 7600 256mb
Screen: 15.4 wxga 1200x800
Ram: 1gb (2x512)
Weight: 2.8 kilograms
Webcam and mic
Bluetooth
DVI port
8-cells battery
includes mouse and bag
Price 9700 NOK (I think it's about 1500+- USD)
First I was going for the HP because it's cheaper, has fantastic design, has Intel processor and is small and light enough to be carried to school. I know it's a low-end GPU but it seems I would get a lot for the money if I went for the HP. Then i saw the ASUS A6T, which has a pretty cool look to it. The GPU is good enough for playing Oblivion and newer games. Anyway, i'm content to play games on lowest settings without lagging. Also I think this notebook has better battery-life than the HP dv2000t. Bluetooth, dvi-port , and the mouse and bag included is a plus. The ASUS also looks like a bang for the money. What makes it a hard decision for me is the CPU, Intel vs AMD and the heat and noise-level. Which one has the best performance? Does AMD CPU produce more heat, and is it loudier than the Intel? Which one would serve me best?

Re: Help me make the final step...
the AMD CPU will have a lesser battery life. that being said, the GPU on the ASUS machine kicks the pants off of the HP by several folds...which also contributes to a lesser battery life on the ASUS.
If you want gaming performance, the ASUS is the better choice. If you need better battery life and don't care about games (really, the 7200 is very very weak), then go for the HP.
As far as CPU performance goes, you'll probably be okay if you don't render, encode, and decode stuff. If you'll only game, browse the internet, and check your email while typing a term paper, either CPU will be fine.
The DVI port isn't a big deal, unless you KNOW you'll actually use it sometime. I myself have never used Bluetooth, and usually the USB versions of devices are fine for me.
Basically, I think the choice depends on your gaming desires.

Darn, night 2004 beat me to it.
I guess I'll just sum it up.
If you want it for games go for the Asus, If not, go for the HP.

I agree with what has already been said. If you want gaming, definitely go with the Asus. If gaming is not that big of a deal to you then the HP would be the way to go.
