I bought the HP DV2000t however it was too heavy and bulky for me. I also didn't like the design. Now I want to get the Sony SZ.
It is very important for me to be able to run Vista with Aero interface!
Thanks

Re: Help me Out please
The most powerful computers in the 13.3-14.1 inch range tend to be from Asus.
Both the 13.3" Asus W7J and the 14.1" Asus W3J are in your price range. As for looks if you're in the same boat as me and really care about them the W3J is arguably the nicest 14.1 notebook on the market! Both computers have good gpu's in them, especially the ati 1600 in the W3J, so if you ever get into more "advanced" games you'll be able to play them at acceptable frame rates. As for the 5 hour battery life you want, that's attainable with the W3J if you take the travel-bay battery.

Yep, try looking at the W3J ... with standard battery + extra battery in modular bay, you should be able to get at least 4+ hours, maybe even 5... and it looks **** good too :)
The W7J with 9 cell battery will also get similar battery life, and is a bit cheaper than the W3J, but less powerful GPU though..

Re: Help me Out please
thanks a lot for the input.
The things that I don't like about the ASUS is that is does't have Core 2 duo (If i'm spending a hefty amount already I might as well get the newest processor as I want this laptop for a long time;5 years)
Also it seems like most american laptop delears dont carry ASUS so it would be problematic with warranty issues etc....?
Lastly and least importantly the fan is on the right side which would be annoying when using mouse (that's just me being picky hehe)
I'm really liking the sony SZ360 right now.
