Acer vs. Lenovo??? Pls. Help!

Question:
Acer vs. Lenovo??? Pls. Help!
I will be buying a laptop in the very near future (2 weeks) and have been looking at the acer travelmate 8204WLMi or the Lenovo T60. I have a Dell Latitude D600 at work and it's been ok but has required a lot of IT assistance.
Can you please help me? It seems like you get a lot more from Acer but I dont' know about the company. I'd like them to be around in 3 years! IBM/Lenovo is a solid company but maybe I should be focusing on HP or something else? Please help!!!

Re: Acer vs. Lenovo??? Pls. Help!
Given your requirements the T60 is definitely a better choice then an Acer, although bear in mind that Acer has been around for 30 years, it is the 4th branded PC vendor in the world, so there is no need to worry that it is going to dissapear in the next few years;)
Alot of people complain about Acer built quality, but I have found that it only concerns the low dollar models - just as it is with Dell or other well established brands.
The TM8204 is a very good laptop, as is the Ferrari. I'd choose the TM8204 over T60 anytime, slightly better specs and way nicer design. It's not as bump proof as the T60, but then except for the Panasonic Toughbook, probably nothing is...:D It's very well built nevertheless.
