Re: HP stopped making the laptop i ordered!!
the Dv2000 series only has Geforce 7200; no 7600 so far and frankly I don't think that there will be any.

the one in the shop def had the 7600. i ran a dxdiag and it came up which card it was using although there seems to be no more examples of this anywhere.
also firstwave any idea if i can get that in ireland. u cant buy from the HP ireland site and they don't seem to even have it listed.
the supplier said to the store guy-and i was there when he made the call- that the new series of models was coming out next week/ anyone know anyhting about these?

its actually the x1600..but real world performance is similar..and the build quality should be much better than the dv series

Re: HP stopped making the laptop i ordered!!
yeh the nc8430 or a zepto from here:
http://uk.zepto.com/
They have ireland on the main page so i assume they will ship there.
the 6615 has a good offer on at the mo which makes it faster than the nc8430 but you loose 2 yrs of warranty.

Here is the HP NC8430 (Listed as a NX8430 but it is the same thing) on a website that should be able to deliver to Ireland:
