Dell E1405 vs. E1505

Question:
Dell E1405 vs. E1505
I cant decide between these two!!!!
I only play counterstrike and portability is an issue because its going to class and the library basically everyday. Im sure the E1405 can play counterstrike fine.
The E1505 would be nice because I can get a X1400 for just a little more. However, the E1505 is bigger and heavier then the E1405 but it cant be by that much.
I also need long battery life but I believe they get similar times.
Does anyone have a pic of the E1405 next to the E1505???
Basically I think the E1505 gives me a dedicated GPU for only a slightly bigger system. However, since I have never owned a notebook I dont know how much of a difference the bigger screen will make because I have heard people say that a 14 inch is alot more portable than a 15.4 inch system.
Which one should I get?
Thanks

This Cnet video compares them:

I vote for the E1505 because it has the more powerful video card, ATI X1400 vs. the Intel GMA 950. :)

I would go to a local store, such as Best Buy, and see both a 14" and a 15.4" laptop in person. Do you plan on playing Counter-Strike 1.6 or Source? The GMA950 will be terrible at Source.

yeah, if you wanna game at all go E1505, and its not that big/heavy to carry around to class either, I think under 7 lbs is portable enough for me

you could check out the dell d620 for a little better gaming experience or even the toshiba m100....though of course they don't have the dell coupons.

they both look similar in size. The only reason I would consider the E1505 is because of the X1400 but since I only play CS and I only play it a few times a week, im not sure if I would use the X1400. In addition, wouldnt the X1400 be obselete soon anyways? I just dont know if the added size and weight justifies getting the X1400 when I probably would not use it.
Yea my budget is at most 1100 but I want to stay at 1000. The D620 is nice because I like the trackpoint but it costs too much.

I had a 14" laptop weighing under 6 pounds going to college and I wouldn't go with anything bigger. My opinion...
I too want a ultra-portable thin powerful computer. But they start at $1500ish for sub 6 pounder machines with nice video cards. Asus and IBM have models each.

I had both a 15.4" WS and a 14.1" WS. When taken into account with size for tables in cafes, airports, aircraft, trains and cars; a 14.1" is more versatile. 14.1" is the max that I would like to carry.
I have seen coupons on Ebay for Latitudes but cannot verify whether they work (30% off).
The Dell D620 is very nice but can cost quite a bit if you start to click on many options - like I did.

Re: Dell E1405 vs. E1505
dont go with the e1405 if youre gonna game, leave some room for expansion. there are also 14 inch laptops or smaller with dedicated graphics cards that will run cs and such without having to sacrifice any portability.
