I am looking for a notebook that is 15.4 or under and during my hunt i noticed that alienware had a way to turn of the graphics card with a reboot to preserve the battery life.
I dont want to pay the premium for alienware so are there any whitebox models that have this feature becuase although i want a powerful notebook battery is very important to me...

I know through a reboot you can undervolt the graphics card on the asus S96J, which will extend your battery life considerably.

Hi,
That AW model is actually a Uniwill 259.

Re: "hybrid graphics card"
im interested in the compal hel80 any info about that model? I'm not sure about the compal. Paladin44 would probably know for sure. They have that model available at powernotebooks.com, and he could answer any questions you have about that notebook. I would assume that in the bios of that there would have to be options for undervolting. As long as you aren't getting a dell type of computer where they try to limit your bios access you would have the capability to undervolt. Just my theory on it though, since I have not heard of anyone doing that with the Hel80.
