Question:
Final decision- Dell 6400 or sony fs415s
Okay i posted earlier and was pointed towards some alternatives to the sony vaio.
I've got it down to these two both £799 and would appreciate a response, one word would be fine dell or sony?
I want to be able to play some games, but my games don't tend to be 3d intensive like doom3 more sports games and management simulation things.
The only thing holding me back on the dell are the graphics card and the sony appears to have a dual layer dvd rw and the dell doesn't. The card is ATI 1300X (although for £70 i can go up to the 1400x) compared to the sony geforce go 6400 which i think might be better?

well, considering that the x1400 performs a bit less than the 6600, i would assume that the x1300 would be somewhat similar to the performance of the 640. i would consider the upgrade to the x1400, if you can afford it. anyway, i would still think that the 6400 would be better b/c the core duo is a better processor. not to mention, the hd speed is noticeably faster in the dell (5400 rpm vs. 4200)

i would go for the dell with the x1400, it will give u some more breathing space and help round off an already powerful system. Dual core is the future. Well for now it is;)

I have a ATI 9700 and it will play css ok so the x1400 should be ample.
