Help me with narrow down a good deal.
Hey Guys and Gals,
My girlfriend is looking at getting her first laptop and I wanted to help her make a wise decision. I have been out of the loop so I need help picking out a system for her with the following specs:
Max price willing to spend $700 dollars.
>=64MB standalone video card
40GB Hard Drive
Wifi card
dvd/cd rw burner
lots of usb ports.
She will not be using this to play intense video games... just small games such as suduku and mahjong. I would like to stay away from Dell, Gateway and HP. Companies having great extended warranties would be a plus. This will be used for web surfing, personal banking and movies when on the go.

ummm....i don't think such a notebook exists, especially if you stay away from those companies you just mentioned. maybe you could look at acer...or toshiba....

well, you can use the dell coupons to purchase the dell e1505 for $700...dunno if you will be able to get the dedicated gpu. either the compaq v2000z or hp dv5000z are probably your best bets for that price.

Do you really need a dedicated GPU to play Sudoku and Mah-jongg anyway? Not criticizing, just wondering... :)

E1505 with a good 30% off coupon and the X1400. It is very easy to get it down to $700. PM me if you need help with that. ;)
