Dell D620 or HP dv2000t
Think i've narrowed my choices down (AGAIN) Some points worth noting:
Although ive seen neither in person, i like the look of the HP, but have a sense that the Dell Latitude is a better build. Dont the Lattitudes have some protection of the hard drive in case of a drop? not sure about the HP. As i already have a Dell, i was hoping to try something new for a change, and dont like Dell's placement of the "pageup" "pagedown" keys which i use frequently. The hp has a T2050 and the Dell has the T2300E, but from what i understand the difference is not too significant. Do like that I can get the wxga+ on the Dell. Pricing is about the same on each, around $1200. Being swayed by looks, i'm leaning toward the HP.
Which would you choose?

If you really prefer HP, but want something along the order of build quality as the Dell Latitude consider a notebook from HP's business line such as this:

D620: Drop protection for HD, spill proof keyboard, more durable finish.Better customer service and technical support through Dell Small Business. No IEEE 1394 and only 1 speaker.
DV2000: More of a multimedia machine.

Thanks, for the suggestion. The hp business line doesnt have the same great look as the dv2000. I know i really shouldnt choose form over function, but...
do u think i will regret choosing the hp "consumer" line?

The HP dv2000t and the Latitude D620 aren't comparable - it is business versus multimedia.
I would go for the Dell because it has an option for a higher-resolution display (WXGA+), plus is more durable.
