Question:
HPnc8430 vs zepto 2425 (compal hel80)
after much searching i have decided (with much help from this forum) between the HP nc8430 and the zepro 2425.

the main thing i am concerned with now is which will perform better in BF2 and CS:S
HP nc8430
2ghz core duo
1gb ram
80GB 5400rpm HDD
Ati X1600 256mb
zepto 2425 (compal hel80)
2ghz core duo
2gb ram
80GB 7200rpm HDD
Nvidia 7600 go 256mb (375core 700 mem)
So my question is what would be better for bf2 (in particular) and CS:S and how much difference.

The Go7600 and X1600 are very close in performance. The latter will do better in CS:S, but the Go7600 will have no issues running that game at full; it is very hardware-friendly.
Given the specifications, I would advise going with the Compal. 2GB of RAM makes a big difference in the latest games. A 7200RPM hard drive will be noticably faster than a 5400.
The HP nc8430 will probably be a bit lighter and thus more portable, but since they are both 15.4"'s, it won't make much of a difference.

how much difference would there be(in bf2)? as the HP would be a bit cheaper and thinner and the site im looking at offers buy now pay in 9 months

The Radeon X1600 should be faster in BF2.
