You won't get a 15.4", or even a 14" at that weight.
The HP nc8430 is a 5.5lb notebook which is good for gaming. It should fall under your budget.

x1600 or 7600go is best u can get for 15.4 or 14.1 inch laptop.
If you want portability, Asus W3J, A8Jm are great choices. 14 inches. or the compal HGL30 which should release in hopefully this month
for 15.4 inch the S96J is great price, compal HEL80 is great too.

Its the Asus F3JA, cant locate a review anywhere, anyone used one before?

Re: Carryable Gaming Laptop.
Hm, never heard of that model; must be fairly new because it has the Core Duo T2250. That was introduced a few weeks ago. Might try looking/asking around in the Asus forum.
However, the X1600 256MB is as good as you can ask for in games.
Have you considered the Zepto Znote 2425W?:

Based off a Compal HEL80, one of the best built notebooks around. Also has great battery life with the 9-cell (4+ hrs).
